BElts don't last forever

When downtime is not an option, you need to inspect your belt regularly. This way you can replace it on your terms. To catch a bad belt long before it snaps, check it, and the position of the self-adjusting mechanism indicator at every oil change. If you find any cracks in the belt or it’s rubbed down and frayed, it’s in your best interest to change that belt sooner, rather than later!

Be sure you have the right fan belt for your vehicle so when the time comes to replace it, you know you’re installing the right one.  If you’re not sure what belt you should be using, check the manufacturer’s specs or speak with a Parts for Trucks representative.
