The Highlights

Humble Beginnings

When Harold Spencer and Harry Richard founded Scotia Equipment in Nova Scotia in 1919, there were only 10,300 registered vehicles in the province, and no more than 1,000 of them were commercial. As the industry expanded, the company expanded to accommodate a diverse selection of parts and equipment as well as provide wider support to trucking fleets.

Growth of Atlantic Canada

In the early years, Parts for Trucks focused on the trucking industry in Atlantic Canada and quickly became a trusted partner in every major community in the region.

Passing the Torch

In 2017 the Raymond’s passed the torch over to another set of brothers in the industry, Corey & Brett Miller of Miller Tire Inc. The Millers had plans to take this well-established business and grow, with their first acquisition in 2019, of Malmberg Truck Trailer & Equipment, with 3 locations in Ottawa/Gatineau.

100 Years Strong

2019 was a big year for Parts for Trucks, being it’s 100 year anniversary. To celebrate this huge milestone, the Millers commissioned a book to celebrate the industry “100 Years of Trucking in Atlantic Canada.”

Looking Forward

In 2022, Halifax-based SeaFort Capital invested in Parts for Trucks to take things to the next level. Shortly thereafter, Parts for Trucks acquires Fleet Brake Parts & Service. With one stroke of a pen, Parts for Trucks became a nationally recognized brand with locations from coast-to-coast.
